Chapter 1470 Sharing a Room
Aurora hadn’t secured the role Hannah had promised to help her land yesterday, so she had nothing on her
schedule at present. Hence, she decided to find a house to rent in the neighborhood where Ian resided today. After
all, it was cheaper to rent a house here compared to staying in a hotel.
Ian and Cindy were stunned simultaneously. “You’re going to rent a house here?”
Aurora nodded. “Well, I can’t afford to keep staying in the hotel. I heard that the drama you’re starring in will be
filmed in this city, so it’s cheaper to rent a house here.”
That being said, Ian and Cindy would feel somewhat ill at ease if Aurora ended up renting a house next to their
place. This was primarily because they were not dating for real; their relationship returned to normal when nobody
else was around, but with Aurora’s personality, the latter would definitely drop by often if she were to stay in the
house next to theirs. If she was around, Cindy and Ian would definitely have to pretend to be a couple all the time,
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtand that was rather difficult for them. However, they couldn’t disagree with Aurora since it was within her discretion
to decide where she wanted to rent a house.
Cindy and Ian exchanged glances and saw the same concern in each other’s eyes.
Instead of taking her leave, Aurora sat on the sofa and watched TV after finishing breakfast. Since it was still early,
she said that she would go out and look for a house to rent a while later.
As such, Ian and Cindy could only stay with Aurora. Probably due to having breakfast not long ago, they began to
feel sleepy.
Cindy gave a few yawns as she sat next to Ian. This seemed to be infectious, for Ian gave a few yawns after her.
Aurora turned her head to look at them. “Did you two not sleep well because I got drunk and acted crazy last
night?”
Cindy immediately waved her hand. “No, it has nothing to do with you.”
Aurora immediately replied, “Why don’t you two sleep in the room for a while? You guys only have to be there in
the afternoon for the filming, right? Just go to sleep then. You two have nothing to attend to, anyway.”
“Haha.” Cindy let out a laugh with a somewhat complicated look on her face. “That won’t be necessary. I’m not
sleepy.”
Ian also remembered how Cindy had woken up early in the morning, so he replied without thinking, “Just go and
have a rest. You woke up so early in the morning, after all. I’m fine, so I’ll be watching TV here for a bit.”
When she sensed that Cindy seemed embarrassed, Aurora stood up from the sofa right away and took her arm.
“There’s no need to stand on ceremony in front of me. Just go to sleep. I don’t need you two to play host to me,”
she said before taking Ian’s arm as well. “The same thing goes to you—get inside the room and have a good rest.
Look at the dark circles under your eyes; you still look tired after taking a shower. You two have to work this
afternoon, so how are you going to handle it if you’re lethargic? Hurry up and go.”
Surprisingly, Aurora had quite a lot of strength after sobering up. She dragged Ian and Cindy all the way to the
master bedroom’s door and even ignored Cindy when she shouted multiple times, “Hey, wait!”
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmAs the bedroom door opened, she shoved the two into the room right away. “There’s no need to worry about me.
I’ll be sitting here watching TV for a while. When it’s about time, I’ll go downstairs and look for houses to rent.” She
did this just to make it up to Cindy and Ian; she felt somewhat guilty because she thought she had affected both of
them by getting drunk last night. After finishing her sentence, she closed the door and even said at the top of her
voice, “I lost self-control yesterday because I was too happy. I’m truly sorry for causing you trouble after you two
fixed me up with a job.”
Ian and Cindy were both speechless as they stood at the door. Cindy took a deep breath before turning to look at
Ian. “Your mom is too zealous sometimes,” she said.
Ian turned around, went over to the window, and stood there. “I guess there’s no other way. Take a rest first if
you’re tired. I’ll pretend to answer a phone call and leave the room a while later.”
Cindy took a glance at the bed. Honestly, she felt somewhat embarrassed. Even though she knew that it was
Aurora who had slept on this bed last night, she still felt somewhat ill at ease.
Instead of looking at Cindy, Ian turned his head and looked out of the window.
Cindy hesitated for a moment before going over to the bed. However, she merely sat on the edge of the bed, took
out her cell phone, and began reading the tabloid news.
