Cindy, who was beside Naomi, frowned at what Naomi said because it made her feel awkward, let alone Ian.
Hence, Cindy piped up, “Shut up. What makes you think that everyone else is as crafty as you?”
Ian didn’t switch on his mic, but for some reason, he felt his face was on fire while he coughed twice. It felt like all
of his secret actions had been exposed, which didn’t exactly feel nice.
Naomi countered, “Why are you so protective over him? I didn’t imply anything. I was just trying to say that he
might have found the time that you two spent together earlier too short. What do you think I meant? Why are you
being so sensitive?”
It was through a new match that Cindy started in her attempt to drop the topic. “Alright, then. Shut up and start the
game. Don’t be a drag on the game.”
While on the side, Naomi reluctantly commented, “Now that you have your boyfriend to help you to win the game,
are you looking down on an amatuer like me? When you didn’t have him to help you, you and I used to be partners

Upon hearing that, Cindy fell silent. Naomi was loquacious today as she was a little excited. She would never stop
running her mouth if Cindy continued to talk to her.

The three of them played a match and naturally won the game. After she logged off from the game, Cindy said to
Ian, “You have a film shoot in the morning, right? So, don’t stay up too late tonight.”
Ian, who still kept his mic off, replied with a message that he would head to bed after another match.
Then, the three of them soundlessly played another match wherein he logged off without saying goodbye once it
ended.
After that, Cindy put down her phone before she stood up to stretch her arms. “Let’s stop playing. Why don’t we
wash up?”
As she lay on the bed, Naomi followed suit and deliberately made some noise to attract Cindy’s attention before
she teased, “Someone lost the mood to play when her boyfriend logged off. Sigh, it sure feels good to be in love.
It’s so sweet and enviable.”
Cindy looked behind at Naomi. “You are rather talkative today. What happened? Has something triggered you?”
Naomi nodded with a serious look. “To be honest, I was indeed triggered. During my schooling days, I have never
been envious of my roommate when they were in relationships. When I saw your interaction with Ian today, though,
I was really envious of you, for real.”
Cindy laughed as she thought that she didn’t interact much with Ian. In fact, the only time was when he grabbed
her hand and it happened involuntarily, so she doubted that their brief interaction would have made Naomi
uncomfortable until now.
“Ian’s gaze was incredibly soft when he looked at you today. I’ve watched his show before and I found him to be a
gentleman that time, but it was nowhere as tender as how he looked at you today,” Naomi explained as her hand
cradled her face.
The corner of Cindy’s lips twitched as she suspected that Naomi might have vision issues. Was Ian gentle toward
me today? Why didn’t I know about it?

and be careful in case he cheats on you. However, after watching your interaction with him today, I understand

time comes, you have to introduce me to those handsome men whom you know in the entertainment industry.”
Cindy chuckled but went along with it. “Sure, sure. I’ll introduce you to those handsome men whom Ian knows by
then and you can pick whoever you like.”
With that, she turned on her heels and walked toward the bathroom.
As she was walking, she thought, I wonder what kind of interaction I had with Ian today that triggered Naomi to this
extent.
After Cindy locked the bathroom door, she removed her clothes and stood under the shower head. Her head was
filled with questions the whole time it took for her to shower.
Yet, she still didn’t have the answer even after her shower and exited the bathroom. She really thought that her
interaction with Ian today had been minimal and devoid of any sweet moments.
Then, Naomi went into the bathroom to shower while Cindy went to her bed. When Cindy picked up her phone, she
saw Ian’s message.
