Chapter 1553 The Comments Section

The more Cindy thought about it, the more frustrated she was, so she buried herself under her blanket.

Since her mind was all over the place, she couldn't get much sleep that night.

Even though she was able to occasionally doze off, her mind was still filled with pointless thoughts about people like

Sena, Yulia, and even Ian’s makeup artist. What’s the point of thinking about them when all of them are so much

better than me?

Cindy clearly knew the answer, but her mind was out of her control.

The next morning, she woke up earlier, but her foot was swelling due to yesterday’s burn. It actually doesn't hurt

that much. The burning sensation is just making me feel a bit uncomfortable.

Seeing that Ian was still asleep, Cindy went to wash herself up before she prepared breakfast. Breakfast was

already served at the same time that Ian emerged from his bedroom.

“Does your feet still hurt?” He frowned when he saw her busy serving the dishes from the kitchen.

However, she felt embarrassed to look at him because she couldn’t stop thinking about the image of him in a bath

towel yesterday.

“N-No, it doesn't hurt anymore,” Cindy stuttered.

Then, Ian approached her and he lowered his head to take a good look at her wound.

When he saw the swollen instep of her foot, he hesitated for a moment before he responded, “You should apply the

ointment on your wound once more and take a rest at home. You don't have to follow me to the film shoot today.”

In the end, he left without taking her along with him; he only reminded her to apply the ointment.

She sent him out while standing at the doorstep, and after seeing him disappear in the lift, she held her hand up to

her chest.

Her heartbeat was so loud that she was worried that he would hear it.

After Cindy closed the door and went inside the house, she stood and looked around the living room, not knowing

what to do for the moment.

A while later, she went to clean the dishes and treat her wound.

However, her foot was still burning and when she touched it, she felt a numbing pain on her skin.

She then took out her phone and saw Naomi’s text, writing that her work was progressing well. If everything went

smoothly as planned, she probably would be leaving the day after tomorrow.

Cindy immediately replied to Naomi that she had the entire day to herself and invited Naomi to come over for

dinner. If Naomi was free to pop by earlier, she was more than welcome to do so.

Naomi seemed to be busy at the moment as she only replied with a thumbs-up emoji.

As Cindy sat on the couch and thought of something, she posted a picture of her wounded foot on Facebook in

boredom with just the caption of a pitiful-looking emoji and nothing else.

However, what startled her was Ian’s comment not long after her post.

In the most straightforward way possible, he asked her whether she had applied ointment on her wound yet.

Not only would she feel shy just by looking at him, just his text alone was able to cause her heart to accelerate.

After hesitating for a moment, Cindy replied that she had already the ointment and her foot was feeling much

better now.

However, right as she sent her reply, Gary also posted a similar comment to Ian, asking whether she had applied

some ointment on her wound.

She quickly replied this time, informing him that she had already applied some ointment and most of the pain on

her foot had gone away.

However, it seemed like Gary wasn't busy at the moment as he privately messaged her on Whatsapp after that. He

asked her how she had sustained her injury and whether she saw a doctor.

Cindy responded with a smiling emoji as an act of politeness and answered that she didn’t visit the doctor because

her wound wasn’t that severe.

Then, he kindly reminded her to take good care of herself. He even joked that unlike boys, girls should be extra

careful with their delicate skin because any injury could leave a scar.

As she read Gary’s text, she couldn’t help but giggle. She had met intellectuals like him before when she crossed

paths with some of the higher-ups in the company, but most of them seemed to have an indifferent and imposing

aura around them.
