Chapter 1680 Odd Dreams

Cindy’s dream had both Ian and Peter in it. Perhaps it had something to do with her thoughts before bed, but Peter

was extremely romantic toward her in the dream. He was cheesy to a point where Cindy felt goosebumps forming

on her skin. She was extremely resistant to the words that Peter told her. At first, she had been fond of him as a

friend, but she no longer wanted to see him after she heard the things he said in the dream.

After Peter flooded her with his sweet words, the dream shifted to a scene where she was with Ian. Everything that

Ian did was a carbon copy of what Peter had done before—Ian repeated all of the words that Peter said earlier.

However, things felt different when Cindy heard the same words from Ian. She had to admit that she didn’t feel any

resistance. In fact, she even felt a hint of joy to see Ian acting so affectionately toward her. The entire dream felt

both confusing and clear.

Cindy was stuck in the same dream for the whole night, and she couldn’t seem to get out of it. Ian had a dream

that night too, but it had been too peculiar and random for him to make any sense of it. He simply felt too drained

to get himself out of the weird dream. Both of them were caught in their own dreamland, so both of them overslept

and woke up late.

In the end, it was Cindy who woke up first. She was immediately embarrassed by the posture that she had woken

up in—her body was pressed against Ian’s once more. However, this time, it wasn’t Ian hugging her, but she

clinging onto him like an octopus.

She recalled how she had run over to hug Ian toward the end of her dream. She knew that she was in a dream

then, so she could do whatever she wanted to do. Therefore, she had charged up to him without any hesitation.

However, she hadn’t expected her body to mimic the same actions in real life. She blinked as she glanced at the

single ray of sunshine seeping through the gap between the curtains.

It looked like it was close to noon, and Cindy was too afraid to look up as she wasn’t sure if Ian was awake. She

found herself in a tough spot—she had to find a way to pull her limbs away from him and pretend that she didn’t

know anything. Her mind was ringing in panic, but Ian began to move before she found a way to solve her issue.

He carefully slipped himself out of her grip before he gently patted her back and tucked her under her sheets. He

even tidied her hair a little before he rolled over and got out of bed. Cindy could feel her cheeks burning.

Ian was in a good mood that morning—he nearly started singing as he brushed his teeth. He had been awake since

a while ago. He woke up when Cindy first rolled over to hug him, but he stayed still without moving his body for a

long time. He allowed her to continue hugging him as he was curious to see how she’d respond when she woke up

to find herself in such a position.

However, Cindy didn’t wake up for a long time, and Ian couldn’t hold his bladder for any longer, so he slipped out of

bed without waking her up. He felt rather disappointed since he didn’t get to see her reaction. When he was done

brushing his teeth, he saw that Aurora was up and out in the hall. “Where’s Cindy?” Aurora asked when she saw Ian

on his own. “Is she still asleep?”

“Yeah. She’s probably exhausted after yesterday,” Ian explained. Although he was referring to the badminton game

from yesterday, that wasn’t what Aurora understood from his sentence. She pressed her lips together and shot Ian

a thoughtful and cryptic gaze. “Oh… I see.”

It was almost normal for Aurora to act oddly, so Ian didn’t overthink her actions. “What are we having for

breakfast? Are we eating at home, or should we go out?”

After thinking about it for a while, Aurora came to a decision. “You can wait at home. I’ll buy us breakfast after I

brush my teeth and freshen up.” With that said, Aurora headed to the washroom. She seemed to have read Ian’s

mind, for she said after a moment, “You don’t have to come along with me. Just wait at home. I don’t need to buy

much for breakfast, so I can carry the food home by myself. There’s no need for the two of us to go out.”

Ian had parted his lips to ask her about this, but he shut them again when she answered his question. He had

genuinely intended to accompany Aurora out, but the devilish part of him also longed to stay back just to see

Cindy’s reaction. He wasn’t sure if he had awakened Cindy when he got out of bed, but he wanted to see how she

would act when she walked out of the room and came face-to-face with him.
