Chapter 1710 An Apology From Bryce

Ian didn’t know that many people and he didn’t have too much interaction with people in the entertainment

industry.

Ian didn’t know that many people and he didn’t have too much interaction with people in the entertainment

industry.

In the end, Cindy breathed out and slowly shut the door behind her. Then, she went back to bed and covered

herself with the comforter.

Right now, she felt like a girlfriend who had just discovered that her boyfriend was having an affair and she felt

slightly upset about it—she was even kind of aggrieved. She wasn’t quite sure of the reason but she felt her

emotions rise and the tears started to well up in her eyes.

She sniffled slightly and reckoned that she must have been besotted after their previous interaction, which resulted

in her becoming quite sensitive and easily affected.

Well, he merely went out of the room to text someone! It’s not a big deal! Besides, if one considered the situation

carefully, even if there was something going on between Ian and Yulia, it had nothing to do with Cindy either.

Just then, she wrapped the comforter around herself tighter before she inched toward the side of the bed, leaving

more than three-quarters of the bed empty for him.

Then, she gradually shut her eyes and tried to make herself fall asleep. However, the more she did so, the harder

she found it to sleep well.

She tossed and turned in bed but all of her attention was on the entrance to the room.

Just then, she waited for quite some time and finally, someone twisted the doorknob from the outside and walked

into the room.

Cindy maintained her still position and squeezed her eyes shut.

Meanwhile, there was some residual coolness on Ian’s body so he stood by the bed for a short while before hopping

into bed.

He placed his cell phone on the bedside table and yanked his comforter toward him to cover himself with it.

Subsequently, he turned around to look in Cindy’s direction.

Just then, he noticed that she was too close to the edge of the bed and he was worried that she would fall to the

ground, so he reached out and pulled her back toward the center of the bed.

As for Cindy, she was in fact pretending to be asleep so naturally, she couldn’t struggle out of his arms though she

was in fact quite resistant about this deep down.

After Ian had pulled her closer to the center of the bed, he hesitated for a moment but he didn’t relinquish his hold

on her and kept her in his embrace.

His current action resulted in Cindy feeling exceptionally aggrieved all of a sudden. How can he do that?! He was

texting another woman outside right before this but now, he’s back in here and can even nonchalantly take me into

his arms! And so, she pursed her lips tightly.

Subconsciously, Cindy didn’t quite believe that Ian was such a scumbag. However, the things he did were in fact

pointing toward that direction.

Earlier on, Ian had made her heart race and her face blush red but right now, all she felt was complete

disappointment and she was quite despondent. Meanwhile, Ian was unaware of the complicated thoughts that ran

wild in Cindy’s mind. At that moment, he seemed to have trouble falling asleep.

Ian had gone out of the room earlier to text Sean. Sean was busy socializing today and the latter had called the

former in a slightly drunken state, which was why Ian had left the room with his cell phone to avoid disturbing

Cindy’s sleep.

However, Sean had hung up the phone soon after that and they hadn’t even spoken too much. Subsequently, Sean

had contacted Ian via text message. Perhaps it was because the former found it hard to actually say the words he

intended to tell the latter.

Sean mentioned that Bryce had called the former and requested to meet him. The former turned up in the evening

in anticipation that the latter had something important to announce. However, that wasn’t the case.

Bryce had behaved out of the norm and apologized to Sean. He had mentioned that he felt sorry for the way he

had treated the latter all these years. However, Bryce wasn’t one to reflect on his own behavior and he had always

done things according to his whim all these years. Even when he had made a mistake, he always reacted

indignantly. However, quite oddly, today, he had suddenly mentioned all these and spoke out about all of the

injustice and grievances that Sean had suffered at his hands.

Bryce had also mentioned the shame he felt at maintaining a flirtatious lifestyle outside while Sean’s mom was

deathly ill. In fact, he had totally disregarded his wife and son during that period of time. In the end, he had hoped

that Sean could forgive him for his past wrongdoings.

All this while, Sean had always harbored hatred against Bryce. All these years, though the former maintained a

subservient front in front of the latter, the former’s hatred toward the latter had not diminished at all even as time

went by.

Even up till today, each time Sean shut his eyes, he could still clearly recall his mom’s final moments. She was as

thin as a rail as she lay on her deathbed with tears streaming down her face, but the tears that she shed were not

because of Bryce’s heartlessness. In fact, it was because she was worried that upon her death, he would have a

hard time surviving without her protection. All of these years, Sean had lived a dutiful life and took each step

cautiously to ensure that his mom would be able to rest in peace. He had been waiting intently for Bryce to pass

away and by then, the shackles on his back could perhaps finally be shed off.
