headache, or could it be because she assumed that I was in contact with Yulia late last night?
At the thought of this, Ian somehow suddenly felt like laughing as he was quite tickled by her cute reaction.

Upon hearing that, Cindy glared furiously at him. However, she subsequently realized that he was just stating his
opinion and perhaps he reckoned that she was stupid. That explained why he dared to brazenly flirt with her and
then share sweet moments with Yulia thereafter.
Presently, Ian’s hands were still busy massaging Cindy’s temples and he paused for a moment before reaching
down to pinch her cheek.
Truth to be told, he didn’t quite like being misunderstood. He was fine with joking around but once there was a
misunderstanding, it could turn quite awkward and it might even escalate into an irrevocable situation.
As such, he immediately explained to her, “When did I tell you that I was on the phone and texting with Yulia? I’m
not that close to her so there’s no way I would call or text her in the middle of the night!”
Meanwhile, Cindy paused for a moment and shifted her body slightly so that she could look at him from a much
more convenient angle.
She recalled everything carefully and realized that in actual fact, he hadn’t mentioned that the person who called
and texted was Yulia.
However, Cindy couldn’t figure out who else it could be, other than Yulia. It can’t be Logan, right? He has a wife and
kids so I don’t think he would call or text Ian in the middle of the night!
Just then, Ian withdrew his hands from Cindy’s face and he placed both his hands on each side of her body,
thereafter leaning in toward her.

upset, so she merely lifted her head and stubbornly replied, “I wasn’t upset. Why would I be?! There’s no reason for
me to be upset!”
However, Ian remained silent and kept his eyes on her.
In all honesty, Cindy was quite a bad liar. Each time she lied, her eyes would be flitting all over the place and she
always had a guilty expression that was quite evident on her face.
He continued to stare at her for a short while before bursting out into laughter. In the end, he didn’t pursue the
matter. “Alright, alright. I’ll go along with whatever you say.”
