Chapter 1728 Insecurities

Since she had no experience, Cindy raised her hand and thereafter dropped it, not knowing where to place it.

As Ian kissed her, he began to lose himself and pressed her on the bed in the end.

By now, she could scarcely breathe, but she ultimately lifted her hands once again and braced them against his

chest.

Although she knew this wasn’t quite the right occasion for it, she asked in a somewhat stubborn manner, “Were you

in love with Sophia Gwendolyn once upon a time ago?”

Not expecting her to ask such a mood-killing question at this time, he paused.

It was evident that Cindy truly had no experience socializing with the opposite gender.

Nonetheless, he had nothing to hide when it came to Sophia. She was a part of his past—a genuine, irrefutable, and

non-negligible part of his life.

So, Ian acknowledged the question with a hum and added, “I was in love with her at one point, but there was

nothing between us. From the beginning, she never had any interest in me.”

After all, although John and Sophia were in conflict at one point, Ian never stood a chance throughout their entire

ordeal.

Even after hearing Ian’s answer, Cindy was still confused. While it didn’t seem to ease her discomfort, it wasn’t

quite painful enough to make her particularly upset either.

Then, she asked again, “How long were you in love with her? Do you still love her?”

For a moment, he stared at her like she was a fool.

He pressed two kisses to her lips before refuting, “Of course not. Why would I treat you like this if I had someone

else in my heart? Who do you take me for?”

Despite knowing there was something off about her line of questioning, she had persisted because she wanted a

definite answer.

So, she conceded with a hum and curled her fingers around the fabric of his shirt before admitting, “I’m a little

scared, that’s all.”

After all, when they stood next to each other, she was inferior to him in many ways.

There were a multitude of beautiful women in the entertainment industry and once the current storm blew over, he

would be off to film again with his female co-star renowned for her beauty in the entertainment industry.

How could Cindy feel at ease with that?

Being accustomed to the quick flings and the whirlwind romances of the entertainment industry, she was naturally

afraid.

If she was able to do so, she’d want to be in a serious, long-term relationship with Ian.

He gently cupped her cheek. “Don’t be scared. Trust me.”

While pursing her lips, she asked after a moment of thought, “In that case, is it okay if I request for two things?”

Naturally, Ian had no intention of refusing Cindy. “Tell me.”

She lowered her gaze and stared at the button on his collar. “If you find yourself developing feelings for whoever

you’re working with, I hope you’ll be honest about it. Whether we part ways or continue with our relationship, I want

a definite answer.”

“Okay,” he agreed. “Don’t worry, I don’t like deception in relationships either.”

Then, she continued with her second request. “While I’m not going to limit who you work with, I hope you’ll respect

me. Do you understand what I mean?”

Once again, he lowered his head to kiss her. “I understand. Don’t worry.”

The entertainment industry was full of truths and falsehoods in equal measure and artists would sometimes be

required to collaborate with each other to sell a story.

However, given that he had already announced to the public that he had a girlfriend, it was unlikely that he would

be asked to fuel the tabloids by feigning to be in a relationship with a fellow celebrity.

At this moment, Cindy unbuttoned his collar and now being somewhat at her wit’s end, she threw her arms around

his neck as she said, “If you lie to me, you better believe that I will be your worst critic.”

At once, Ian began to laugh. “Alright, alright, I know! Geez, I’m terrified.”

Outside, after the storm, the sun was finally emerging from the clouds. However, on the bed inside the room, the

couple was slowly becoming more passionate as they kissed.

With the experience garnered from the previous two times, Cindy was beginning to learn how to breathe in

between kisses.

Although she had never been a particularly bold person, her good mood today was perhaps leading her to tighten

her arms around Ian’s neck and respond carefully to his kisses.

Nonetheless, she still felt a little guilty, for the clock slowly ticked toward noon.

She was afraid Aurora would come out of her room and call them for lunch.

While she and Ian weren’t having sex at this moment, they were still making out indecently enough in bed that it

would be inappropriate for Aurora to open the door and see them.
