Chapter 1883 A Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing

In fact, the filming crew had considered giving Aurora a chance to reboot her career on the condition that she must

build a healthy image for herself, thanks to her likable character. In the meantime, Aurora had no objection to the

crew’s condition as she nodded her head. “Alright, I understand. I promise there won’t be any more negative news

about me from now on.”

While the incident between her and Bryce was considered the biggest stigma in her life, she didn’t think there

would be any more scandal that could ruin her career, since what happened in her past was no longer a secret. For

that, she doubted there was anything else worth digging into about her and could hence stay away from all the

unnecessary attention.

Meanwhile, Hannah believed Aurora was experienced enough to understand the gravity of the situation.

It isn’t easy for her to be offered an opportunity to enter the entertainment industry again, so I believe she won’t

throw her chance away.

Then, Hannah went on to brief Aurora about the filming that would be going on later, telling the latter to be on set

when she told her to do so. After that, Hannah reminded Aurora that she would be operating separately from Ian

and that they would have to avoid as much interaction as possible when they ran into each other on set.

Fortunately, Aurora understood Hannah’s intention, considering the trouble she had dragged Ian into lately, as she

could remember seeing her and Ian’s faces in almost every news article.

Due to the incident, the Morgan Family inevitably became the center of attention from all news media companies.

Thus, it was decided that Aurora and Ian should work independently to prevent unwanted troubles.

On the other hand, Cindy was standing outside the door while leaning against the wall with her phone in her hands.

At the same time, Ian was sending a text message to her, asking her how it was going on.

Upon typing her reply swiftly, Cindy told Ian that Aurora was still in discussion with Hannah as she was still waiting

for hers. As soon as she finished texting, she sensed someone walking past her but didn’t read too much into it

since the office was crowded with people.

Nonetheless, the person who had just walked past Cindy came back and stood beside her. When she turned around,

she was surprised to see the figure standing beside her.

Linda!

Cindy couldn’t help but recall the rumor about the strained history between Ian and Linda that negatively impacted

the latter’s career. Because of that, she had no choice but to accept jobs that didn’t pay well.

At that moment, Linda didn’t seem to be in good condition, but that didn’t do anything to change her unhappy look

when she glared at Cindy.

On the other hand, Cindy appeared to assume an unflinching stance, thinking she didn’t have to be afraid of Linda

at all because she was never scared of her anyway, even before the latter’s career went downhill. Staring at Linda

with a glacial look, Cindy calmly asked, “What’s the matter?”

Linda sneered and said, “Haha. It looks like you have a trick or two up your sleeves.”

Cindy reacted with a sarcastic smirk on her face. “Well, anyone would have thought of that in my place. Anyway, I

heard you even paid the director a visit in the middle of the night.”

Linda’s face changed when she heard Cindy’s words. At the same time, Cindy knew what she heard was more than

just hearsay upon noticing Linda’s reaction. She then smiled and said, “If you yourself would do that, what makes

you think it wouldn’t occur to anyone else to do the same thing?”

“Nonsense.” Linda angrily replied, “I’ll sue you for defamation if you ever say something like that one more time.”

Cindy grunted coldly, responding in an annoyed tone. “Like I’m scared of that. Go ahead. I dare you.” Deep down,

she believed Linda was just paying lip service because she knew everyone else was aware of what was really going

on, even though it wasn’t widely discussed.

Linda gritted her teeth and gawked at Cindy for a few moments. “I was wrong about you. At first, I thought you

were just an innocent sheep; but now, I’ve come to realize you’re, in fact, a wolf in sheep's clothing.”

On the other hand, Cindy brushed Linda’s mean words off as a compliment and replied, “Likewise. I thought you

were a smart lady at first.” She then shifted her gaze to Linda’s body, leaving her sentence unfinished to imply her

ambiguous meaning.

“How dare you, Cindy?!” Linda clenched her jaw.
