Chapter 1970 It Was No Big Deal

Ian understood the seriousness of the things at stake as well. “Don’t worry.”

Hannah then lamented, “I initially wanted Cindy to visit you on set so that you two can use this opportunity to show

off your romance, but I didn’t expect all of these to happen in one go.”

Indeed, no one had expected all of these to happen at the same time.

As she still had other issues to tend to, she hung up after telling Ian and Cindy to stay calm.

It was only when Ian and Cindy returned to the hotel that he told her, “I initially wanted to show off our relationship,

but it looks like it’s impossible to do so now.”

At first, he’d wanted to drop hints that he was engaged to her, but it seemed like he wasn’t allowed to do that now.

With everything that was happening right now, Ian could only sit and observe what would happen next.

On the other hand, Cindy went to bed before she grabbed her phone and started to read the articles about Ian in

detail.

The moment she read the article about Yulia, she couldn't help but mumble, “I bet Yulia is regretting the fact that

she had her eyes on Ian.”

Of course Yulia should have regretted revealing these things to her untrustworthy friends.

These friends of Yulia’s probably weren't even her real friends. One of the prime examples was the director who

started rambling after having one too many glasses. For someone of his status, he should’ve considered the

possibility of people snooping around at that kind of place when he said his words.

However, he spoke without any care and even belittled Yulia, so Cindy figured that the director might have done it

on purpose.

After all, any adult with a working brain would be capable of doing so. After staying at the hotel for a night, Cindy

and Ian left the next day and she even stopped visiting him on set. She was also worried that someone else might

spot her and make articles about it.

When Ian sent Cindy off to her cab, the two of them stared at each other through the car window. Then, he sighed

before he reached out to caress her face. “I'll visit you once I'm free.”

Cindy knew that Ian was extremely busy and might not be able to head home for these two nights, so she nodded

with a relaxed expression. “Work well and return with lots of money!”

Her eyes slowly reddened as the cab drove away a while later.

To be honest, it wasn't as if the two of them wouldn't be able to see each other anymore as Cindy could always grab

a cab to see him after work.

Still, she couldn't help but be upset that they were separated as she felt like something was missing.

When Cindy arrived home, she realized that there was a text message from Gary.

It seemed like he had seen the articles online as well and texted her to ask whether she was alright.

Cindy immediately replied to his message that she was okay.

Nevertheless, Gary stopped replying after that, so she figured that he was busy and started to pace around the

living room before she went to her room to get a pen and paper, after which she started reflecting on the

document without a topic that Serena had sent.

Then, she chose a topic and started to draw.

At this moment, Cindy had already calmed down and realized that her situation with Ian wasn’t that big of a deal.

Everyone had different life goals and it was impossible for the two of them to cling to each other for the rest of

their lives.

Still, her current thoughts continued to change and contradict with each other.

Nevertheless, Cindy knew that this was caused by her unsteady emotions after being separated from Ian as she

wasn't one who could face everything in her life alone and she really needed someone by her side.

As Ian had previously been constantly by her side, it was an understatement for her to feel upset when he suddenly

had to travel somewhere else and couldn't even come home to meet her at night.

Besides, with so many beautiful girls around him, it was understandable for Cindy to sometimes overthink.

Then, Cindy took a few deep breaths to calm herself down before staring at the drawing paper in front of her. Once

she had composed herself, she started to draw.
