Ian stared at Valerie as he answered, "Probably."
If it were some other circumstance, Valerie probably wouldn't be affected this much. She was a seasoned actress,

her stead.

become her shield.

arrived at the ground floor of her home, but it seemed like the man wasn't there. Hence, she finally relaxed and
went upstairs.
