Chapter 623

Cecilia walked past Zach and exuded an overbearing aura as she approached Madelyn. With a provocative smile,

she said, “Long time no sec, Madelyn Jent!”

She extended her hand as if she was implying something else.

Madelyn’s face turned pale, and her chest ached, causing her to frown. She turned around and left without saying

anything.

She stumbled her way out and it was evident that something was not right with her.

Cecilia withdrew her hand with a faint smile. As she watched the panicked ligure walking away, she crossed her

arms and raised her chin.

‘You were nothing but a plece of trash in your past life. You were no match for me back then, and now… it’s still the

same! You only lived to be thirty–one in the previous life. This time… I’m curious to see how long you can survive.”

Madelyn’s heart bore the name of Cecilia Samford like an indelible scar.

In her past life, Madelyn’s child had died before birth, and she had not even gotten a chance to look at the baby. All

Kevin had given her was an um of ashes.

Madelyn had buried the baby together beside her mother’s grave.

She had also been ill because of that for six months. She was left bedridden and had been on the verge of death

several times.

Madelyn’s condition had not improved despite receiving treatment at the hospital, so she left the hospital and went

home without informing Zach.

In their master bedroom, Madelyn heard the moans of a man and a woman inside. The door was not entirely

closed, and she could clearly see what they were doing inside through the gap.

Cecilia’s long hair hung loose as she rode on top of the man. “Since Madelyn Jent can’t give you a child, I will…

“This time, we’ll have our own child very soon, Zach…”

Madelyn’s head suddenly throbbed with Intense pain as she grabbed her hair tightly. In the bathroom, she took

everything she could find and slammed them against the mirror. Madelyn rarely lost control, except the times when

she had truly reached the brink of despair.

She was staying in the room right next to Zach’s suite.

The shattered mirror covered the floor, and in the broken shards, all Madelyn could see was her own anguished

face.

Suddenly, blood flowed from her nose, and she tasted a metallic sensation in her mouth, followed by a strong wave

of nausea. She wiped away the blood, turned on the tap, and suddenly, spat out a mouthful of blood.

She could not stop her nose from bleeding at all. She tilted her head back and felt dizzy. However, she managed to

stay conscious as she supported herself against the sink.

Madelyn showed no sign of panic. Instead, she covered her nose with tissues and went out of the bathroom. She

then retrieved a bottle of medicine from her bag and took two pills with trembling hands. Finally, the pain subsided,

and she began to feel better.

At that moment, the door was abruptly open. Madelyn was startled to see the person appearing out of nowhere

and she dropped the medicine bottle to the floor. She fumbled to pick it up, afraid that the person would discover

something.

Zach walked up to her and grabbed her, who was kneeling on the floor. “What are you eating?”

As he looked at the bloodstains on her shirt, he frowned. “Where did the blood come from?” He stared at her with

his deep eyes.

“I had a nosebleed because of the weather.” Madelyn avoided his gaze as she picked up the pills on the floor. Then,

she closed the bottle and put it back into her bag.

Unexpectedly, Zach snatched it away.

“What are you doing? It’s just some vitamin C.”

Zach looked at the bottle and found out that Madelyn was indeed not lying. His expression softened as he spoke.

“I’ll take you for a checkup tomorrow il you’re not feeling well.”
