Chapter 101 Half an hour later, Judson was sitting on the couch, looking all grumpy. "Nancy, I'm mad! Why didn't you callwhen you were in danger?" Nancy looked at Judson, whose expression was a complex mix of anger and hurt, as if he had suffered the greatest injustice.
Nancy chuckled, more amused than angry. "I wanted to call you, but my phone was in the car. Besides, you have the nerve to be mad at me?" Seeing Nancy's expression, Judson had a sinking feeling. His voice turned more pitiful, "I was just worried about you!" Nancy's smile was dripping with sarcasm. "Funny, because I'm pretty mad at you too. How did you and Lenard end up at Baldrick's company first thing this morning?" Judson was speechless. Of course, Nancy was still hung up on what happened earlier. Her face darkened slightly as she continued, "Judson, haven't I told you not to go out alone? What did you promise me?" Judson hung his head, saying, "Nancy, I wasn't trying to disobey. Lenard thought I was lonely, so he tookout." Nancy laughed, exasperated. "Lenard, the guy you had that fight with, wouldn't just take you out for no reason. What did you give him?" Nancy knew Lenard well enough to see through Judson's antics.

"I gave Lenard a list of people who supposedly have a crush on Winnie." Nancy raised an eyebrow. "Fake, right?" "Of course it's fake! I don't know who likes Winnie, but I do know I like you. You're my wife!" Judson said with a bold confidence.
Nancy couldn't help but twitch a smile at Judson's earnestness. Poor Lenard, totally played by Judson. Judson's face fell again. "Nancy, I just can't stand the thought of you and Baldrick alone. I'm a guy; I can tell he doesn't like me. He's probably planning to steal you away while my memory's fuzzy!" Nancy was caught between annoyance and amusement. "But I don't like Baldrick. We're just business partners.' "Business partners? Sure, if only you believe that. Baldrick's eyes are practically glued to you." Judson's voice was growing more indignant. "Nancy, you just don't get it! Do you know how scared I am of losing you?" His eyes were rimmed with red as he finally spoke, his expression clearly saying 'I'm not forgiving you unless you make it up to me.' Nancy looked at the sulking Judson, but the truth was, everything was just like a dream.
Judson didn't really like her, didn't even know her. He just lost his memory.
Yet, seeing him pout like that stirred something inexplicable in Nancy's heart. "So, what do you want to do?" Judson glanced at her, his eyes lighting up but trying to play it cool.
"Nancy, I want to go with you to the company. I promise I won't get in your way, just like today—I'll behave, okay?" Nancy noticed the hopeful look in Judson's eyes and found herself unable to say no.
Ever since marrying Cyrus Gordon a year ago, it seemed like no one had cared about her feelings this much. Besides, Judson's current state was partly her doing.

You should get ssleep, Nancy!" With that, he dashed to the bathroom, closing the door with a satisfied thud.
Standing there, Nancy could still feel the warmth of Judson's lips on her cheek. She raised a hand to touch it, her heart racing uncontrollably, unable to calm down. Judson was only the second person to kiss her...
