Chapter 81 Nancy casually lifted her head, only to lock eyes with the approaching figure of pure beauty.
It was Susan, one of her so-called rivals.
The animosity in Susan's gaze was unmistakable, but Nancy remained cold and collected. "If you can be here, why can't I?" A year had passed since they last met. Susan, even more stunning and mature, could only harbor jealousy. "Since you've left the scene, do you think it's still your era?" Susan sneered.

Susan's face twisted in anger. "You!" "What about me? Maybe you should focus on your skills instead of worrying about Lena's. Or is it that you have a crush on Lena?" Lenard interjected sharply.
Laughter erupted around them.
Feeling the sting of their words, especially with Lenard defending Lena, Susan felt nothing but dissatisfaction and resentment.
Suddenly, Susan's anger turned into a mocking laugh. "Lena, there's something you're right about. Soon, you'll see whose era it is!" After that, she stormed off as if she were the only possible victor.
Watching Susan leave, Lenard couldn't hide his disdain. "Nutcase, she thinks she's all that." Turning to Nancy, he reassured her, "Don't worry, Nancy. Susan's got nothing on you. If NY doesn't pick you tonight, they're blind." Nancy's expression turned complicated; Susan's confident vibe made her a bit uneasy.
Before Nancy could gather her thoughts, another man approached Lenard. "Lenard, it's been a while. Do you have a moment?" With a reluctant smile, Nancy encouraged him, "Go ahead. You've always wanted to collaborate with Potter." Assured, Lenard hesitated but quipped, "Just stay put, Nancy. I'll be right back." As Lenard left with Potter, eager for the collaboration that might include Nancy, all eyes turned to her. From the exchange between Susan and Nancy, it was clear to most that Nancy was the mastermind behind Lena's Studio.
But what did it really matter? Lena's Stuhad taken a hit since Nancy stepped back a year ago, barely hanging on to its top-tier status. If things didn't change soon, they were facing the real risk of fading into obscurity and bankruptcy.

"Mr. Sandro has arrived." "It's uncanny how Mr. Sandro outshines models in looks. I wonder what type of girl he prefers." Nancy couldn't help but look up, her gaze meeting Baldrick's. His custom-tailored white suit accentuated
his graceful demeanor, making him look more dashing and mature. His refined smile added to his allure, a wave of maturity emanating from him. As their eyes met, a silent spark flew between them.
Ever the opportunist, Susan intercepted him before Baldrick could reach Nancy. "What a coincidence, Mr. Sandro. I didn't expect to see you at the NY mixer." Baldrick's smile was polite but distant. "Not a coincidence. I'm here for someone specific." "Someone?" Susan was curious as she noticed Baldrick's attention fixed on Nancy, a sinking feeling in her heart.
"You're not thinking of collaborating with Lena, are you? She's past her prime. Mr. Sandro. You'd be better off partnering with me. I've heard the Sandro Group's anniversary show is coming up. What do you think of me?" Susan boasted, confidence oozing from her stance. Yet, Baldrick was unimpressed. "Not much. I've seen your designs. They don't hold a candle to Lena's. My eyesight hasn't failedyet."
