Chapter 534 Noelle knew Rosie wanted to talk to Hendrix alone, so she didn't say anything. After giving Hendrix a glance, she turned and left the room.

There was a convenience store right outside the hospital. Noelle bought milk for Rosie and also picked up a small bag of cakes.

She didn't know what Rosie would say to Hendrix, but she wasn't in a hurry to return. After paying, she took a couple of laps around the hospital before heading back upstairs.

By the tshe returned, the conversation between Rosie and Hendrix was clearly over. The two of them sat quietly, neither speaking.

Noelle had always thought Rosie's features resembled her own. But seeing them sitting side by side now, she suddenly realized her facial structure actually resembled Hendrix's more. Especially when they both pursed their lips-they looked like they were carved from the smold.

She stood there for a moment, observing them, before finally walking over.

"Mommy!" As soon as Rosie saw her, her eyes lit up, and the serious expression on her face melted into a bright smile.

Noelle reached out and stroked her head. "Are you hungry?" "Yeah! I want smilk." "Here you go." After Noelle inserted the straw for her, Rosie obediently took the milk.

Just then, Hendrix walked over, too.

"The test result should be out. I'll go take a look," he said.

Noelle didn't object. Once he left, she turned to Rosie. "What did you talk to him about just now?" "Who? "Your dad." "Nothing," Rosie replied, blinking innocently.

Noelle pinched her ear. "Do you really think I don't know what you're thinking?" Rosie just smiled and continued sipping her milk.

Noelle was only asking for fun, but Rosie's mysteriousness made h even more curious. "Why tell me? Is it a secret?" won't belongs to en.om "Yeah, it's a secret between him and me." Noelle was speechless. But she didn't press further, only letting out a soft "oh".

Rosie looked at her. "Mommy, are you upset?" "No." "But you're not smiling anymore," she replied seriously.

Noelle couldn't help but chuckle at her answer. "How about now?" "Yeah, that's better. I like to see you smile. You look the prettiest when you smile." Rosie's earnest words deepened the smile on Noelle's lips. She ruffled Rosie's hair again. "You're such a sweet talker." "I know. So, can I have scake, too?"

Rosie had been eyeing the bag of cakes in Noelle's hand since earlier.

Now, she finally had the chance to n ask. Noelle laughed. "Sure. Here you go." As they chatted, Hendrix returned quickly.

"I just spoke to the doctor. Everything's normal."

Although Rosie had been recovering well and hadn't shown any signs af complications, it was only after hearing these words that Noelfe finally let out a heavy sigh of relief. Rosie was also thrilled, because this meant they could finally go home.

Hendrix was the one who drove

back, too. At that moment, with his hands on the steering wheel, hem hesitated a moment before finally asking, "Have you already set your moment wheel return date?" Noelle nodded. "Yeah, our flight is tomorrow." "Tomorrow?" Hendrix frowned. "Why the rush?" There was a hint of sarcasm in his voice.
