Daisie caressed her stomach and asked, “Do you think the twins are boys or girls?”
Nollace put down the watering can, squatted in front of her, and listened. After a short
while, he said, “I heard it.”
She asked curiously, “What did you hear?”
Chuckling, Nollace replied, “I heard the sound of a naughty boy and a little princess.”
Daisie frowned. “Are you sure?”
Nollace slowly stood up and carried Daisie into the house. “Since we don’t know their
gender, we might as well say one of them is a boy, and the other is a girl.”
Daisie sat on the couch, and then she saw that there was a text message on her phone.
She picked it up and realized that Leah had texted her about half an hour ago.
