"I thought we were together," Zedd said before | managed to stop him.
Since Theo had no context of what was going on, he was confused.
However, although | had listened in on their conversation before this, | was still stunned when | heard Zedd's

I had thought he would confess his feelings to Cindy and tell her everything before this had all been an act to
