"What are you doing here, Auten?" Empress Heidi cleared her throat and rearranged her
thoughts before speaking. "Why aren't you cultivating at the Jade Fairyland?"
"Father's dead. How could I be in the mood to cultivate?" Prince Auten spoke in a tone
laced with grief before turning to comfort Empress Heidi. ’ Don't be too upset either,
Mother."
Empress Heidi flashed a pained smile. "I'm glad you came to see me so quickly."
As she spoke, Empress Heidi cast a glance at Master Magaera next to her before saying,
"There's something I need to talk to you about, Auten. It's a pretty big deal."
"What is it?" Prince Auten was startled, caught off guard.
Empress Heidi exhaled softly, her exquisite features hardened into a solemn expression.
"Your father is not here anymore, but the Godly Region can't go without a ruler for much
longer. Would you like to take his place and become the next emperor?"

Prince Auten startled in shock. "What are you saying, Mother? You want me to be
Emperor?"
As Empress Heidi nodded, Prince Auten's gaze flashed as he smiled bitterly. "Father said

Prince Auten's expression was gloomy, but his gaze was extremely indignant.
Auten was just as capable as Aurin in terms of skills and intelligence. Yet his father had
always favored Aurin from a young age, prioritizing him everytime.
When she noticed Prince Auten's reaction, Empress Heidi smiled lightly. She said, "Yes,
your father made that declaration, but we will get you what
you truly deserve. I'll support you the entire way if it's what you want."
Empress Heidi pointed to Master Magaera next to her as well. "You'll have the Honorable
Master assisting you as well."
"That's right!"
Master Magaera nodded solemnly. "I will do my very best to get you onto that throne. But
you have to work with me for that to happen."
At the situation, Prince Auten paused briefly before his face split into a wide grin, unable
to contain his emotion.
What great news! With Master Magaera's support, his chances of becoming emperor
would increase vastly.
Prince Auten nodded hastily. "Thank you, Master Magaera. I won't forget your help once I
become the emperor."
Master Magaera nodded, exchanging a glance with Empress Heidi as they smiled at each
other.
"Very well!"
A few seconds later, Empress Heidi smiled lightly. "There's not much I can do as the
Empress, not in the context of royal affairs. Master Magaera will gather the officials and
discuss that with them. I shall head back to the Jade Fairyland and await the good news."
"Alright!"
Master Magaea nodded before heading for the Imperial Sky Palace.
Prince Auten's face was full of glee as he followed closely behind.
A few minutes later, in the Imperial Sky Palace.
The officials had all gathered under Master Magaera's command.
Prince Auten was perched on the royal throne with Master Magaera watching over him like
a guard dog. An unreadable expression passed through the officials' faces when they
noticed that. They were confused.

now. A hundred days after the Emperor's passing, we'll crown him officially."
Master Magaera raised a hand to point at Prince Auten. "Prince Auten has always been a
bright child, always smarter than most people his age. No one is more eligible for the role
than he is. Hence, I've decided to let Prince Auten take the throne for the time being. What
do you think?"
His voice was loud and clear, ringing through the entire Imperial Sky Palace and radiating
an impenetrable firmness.
The officials erupted into loud chatter.
