Darryl nodded and kissed her forehead.
"Don't worry; I won't let you go through any hardship ever again," he promised. 2
He meant that from the very bottom of his heart. He had forgotten there was anyone else
around him. His intimate gesture made Yvette blush. She immediately wriggled out of his
embrace and said coquettishly, "What are you doing? Chester and the others are here
too." 1
Though the words could not cover the fact that she was extremely happy. She would go
through a thousand more hardships if it meant that her beloved could come back safely.
Chester, Dax, and the others laughed at the two love birds.

At these words, Yvette blushed, even more, causing her to pinchDarryl painfully.

Heaven Emperor and Darryl. They were also unbelievably worried when they heard that
Darryl had been captured and thrown into the Infernal Shadow Prison by the fiend race. In
the end, they erupted in cheers when through Darryl's perseverance, the whole fiend race
was annihilated. Of course, he left out the part where he helped Morticia when he came
back to The Nine Mainland because he was still unsure whether it was the right thing to
do.
"Hurray! The fiend race has finally been annihilated!"
"Haha... I knew it! Darryl always has Lady Luck on his side; he can get out of any
shitstorm."
"Well I'll be damned, Darryl, you seriously managed to annihilate the entire fiend race!"
Everyone was pumping with adrenaline and awe. Yvette, Yvonne, Debra and the rest of
the women were all looking at Darryl with happiness and pride, thinking, 'This is my man.
He can do anything and nothing can ever faze him." 2
Amidst the cheers, Chester thought of something and turned to Darryl." Why did you have
to set up such a big commotion with The Nine Mainland enchanted barrier since you
helped the Godly Region annihilate the fiend race? Why did they deploy the soldiers and
generals to come after you?"
Darryl smiled bitterly and was about to answer when Dax beat him to it." Damn it! Need
you to ask? Those Gods are not known for their virtue. They must have wanted to burn the
bridge after they've crossed it. Think about it, Darryl is only a human cultivator and yet he

His face and tone were filled with anger.
Everyone nodded at what Dax said.
"Dax is right, but not entirely. I was only able to escape the Sky Prison with the help of
Prince Aurin. Besides, the Nine Heaven Emperor and I managed to rectify the
misunderstanding between us before he passed away.
Sometimes it's really difficult to say with certainty who's in the right or who's in the
wrong," said Darryl as he smiled.
Everyone became silent after that.
Darryl surveyed everyone and said with a smile, "Whatever the case, I'm super lucky to
make it back alive and reuniting with you all again is the greatest blessing in my life."
Then his tone turned sharp as he continued, "But I don't think Master Magaera will rain
down some retribution on me for pulling one over him. Empress Heidi too, so we should
find a hidden and safe place to hide away. N
