Sofia gave Darryl a gentle smile while he was pondering that. "The Palace Master also
assigned me to be in charge of your meals and lodging. I'm not going to make any
mistakes."
Toward the end, Sofia's face reddened slightly.
'F*ck me!'
Just then, Darryl seemed to understand something. He waved his hands around
awkwardly. "Uhh... that second part won't be necessary. You just have to be my Elixir
Assistant."
Darryl's chest pounded in shock.
Sofia was beautiful, and Darryl understood the Palace Master's intentions of letting him
have a good time here with good company so that he could do his best at helping the Pure
Yang Division make their pills.
However, Darryl was not from there. He would leave eventually. Under those
circumstances, how could he start anything with Sofia!
"Yes, Sect Master!" Sofia said obediently.

Sofia was naive; she hesitated briefly before asking, "Am I allowed to go upstairs?"
At the look on her face, a smile could not help but widen on Darryl's as he chuckled and
said, "Only when I call for you." There was no way he could let just anyone see him
incorporating the elixir.
Sofia was slightly stumped. "Well... what is it I can do, then?"
Darryl thought about it before saying, "Well, I can teach you how to make a couple of pills.
You are my Elixir Assistant, after all." "Really?"
Sofia perked with excitement. She had been interested in pill-making ever since she was a
child. It was a shame that pill-making was a lost art form in the Cryolet Continent, and she
had never been able to find herself a master.
Sofia was overwhelmed with emotion when she learned that the Elixir Sector would have a
new head in the Pure Yang Division. She immediately offered her services to the Palace
Master as Darryl's elixir assistant.
She never expected the Sect Master to instruct her on making the pills; she would have
been satisfied merely to stand by Darryl's side and watch him make them. After all, the
Sect Master's position in the Pure Yang Division was only second to that of the Palace
Master.
She was happy and pleased when she heard that Darryl would teach her howto make the
pills.
Darryl smiled and picked up a pen and paper to swiftly write a few formulas down. Of
course, they were simple pill-making methods.
"You can look at this first, then try following the instructions when you think you're ready."
Darryl handed the sheet of paper to Sofia with a smile.
The few simple pill formulas would take her a few days to experiment.
"Thank you, Sect Master!" Sofia beamed as if she had just chanced upon a treasure,
thanking Darryl before hurrying into one of the rooms.
Whew!
Darryl let out a sigh, smiling. He would have at least three days of uninterrupted time
before Sofia learned howto make those pills.

"Sect Master!"
Darryl was fast asleep when he heard Sofia from the bottom of the staircase, calling out
carefully, "You have to wake up, Sect Master! Sect Master!"
Darryl sat up irritably, rubbing his eyes.
What was going on? Had Sofia figured out the formulas just overnight?
At the thought, Darryl got dressed and headed downstairs. He saw Sofia standing there;
her head bowed respectfully. "What's going on this early in the morning?"
Sensing Darryl's mild frustration, Sofia bit her lip as she said lightly, "Sect Master, the
Heavenly Dragon Sect has sent a few of their men to visit you."
The Heavenly Dragon Sect?
Darryl stopped short. The name sounded familiar. He could not help but ask, "Why aren't
they seeing the Palace Master? Why do they want to see me instead?"
Sofia stifled a smile, unable to hide her awe and respect. "Don't you know, Sect Master?
The news of you becoming the head of the Elixir Sector had rocked the whole of the Pure
Yang Division and many other sects as well.
"You must know that pill-making skills had long disappeared from the Cryolet Continent for
almost a thousand years. It's as if you've appeared here, out of nowhere, to be our savior."
