Chapter 5331

Darryl smiled lightly, pointing at the stream in front of the cave and saying lazily, "Perfect.

I'm starving from the journey earlier. There should be some fish in the stream. Can you

catch us a few? I'll start a fire. We'll grill the fish once you catch it.”

Darryl's expression was solemn as he spoke, but his eyes glinted playfully.

Rachelle said that she came from a family of fishermen, which Darryl did not believe at all.

He took the opportunity to test her and see how she would react.

'What? Have me catch fish?'

Rachelle's body quivered at the words as her exquisite features shone with an unreadable

expression. She was the holy nun of the True Flame Sect. When did she ever have to take

orders like that?

She had servants at her beck and call at the True Flame Sect. How would she know how to

catch fish?

However, she had said that she came from a family of fishermen, and it would not do her

good if she went back and changed that.

All at once, Rachelle's chest plummeted helplessly. She would have never said she came

from a family of fishermen if she knew that Darryl would make her catch fish.

She was in a pickle, and it was her own fault.

Oh?

Seeing her stand there fidgeting, Darryl held back a laugh as he plastered on an

expression of great confusion.

"What's wrong? Didn't you say earlier that you were going to be my servant? Do you not

want to catch the fish for me?"

He knew that Rachelle did not know a thing about catching fish, and he just wanted to

provoke her further.

The words rang through the air, and Rachelle shook her head hastily as she said in a

panicked tone, "No... No. That's not what I mean at all, sir. I was just thinking that it's dark

now, and catching fish will be a little tricky. I'll... I'll get to it now." 1

As she spoke, Rachelle held back the pain in her feet as she slowly walked to the stream.

Fine.

Since she had pretended to be a fisherman's daughter, she would just figure out a way to

get a fish or two.

Rachelle had thought it through. She would hide somewhere Darryl could not see when

she got to the stream and use her internal energy to get herself some fish.

However, Darryl did not give her a single chance to do that.

Just as Rachelle walked to the stream, Darryl got up and quickly gathered a few tree

trunks before lighting a fire by the cave entrance.

Upon doing so, Darryl crossed his hands behind his back, humming a tune as he slowly

made his way to the stream.

What...

Rachelle was preparing to summon her internal energy in the stream when she caught

sight of Darryl coming up from behind her and stopped short." Why are you here, sir?"

There was no way he could find out she was a cultivator, or her plan would be ruined

entirely.

At the thought, Rachelle decided to make an excuse to distract Darryl.

Darryl chirped, "I've started the fire. All I'm waiting for is your fish. There's not much else

to do, so I thought I'd come here and watch you do your thing."

As he spoke the words, Darryl had a curious expression as he tried to tamp down the

amusement threatening to spill out from his chest.

The woman was clearly a cultivator but pretended to be a regular fisherman. He wanted to

see how she was going to catch fish.

Whew...

Rachelle was extremely displeased, yet she did not let it show as she smiled lightly.

"There's not much to watch, I'm afraid. You're going to smell all fishy, sir.

Why don't you wait by the fire? I'll head over with the fish as soon as I get it.

Darryl immediately knew what she was trying to do, and he shook his head with an

oblivious expression.

"That's alright! I'm just watching. I won't get in your way. I'll stand a little further, so the

smell doesn't get to me."

As he spoke, Darryl stepped back a few steps, not intending to leave.

Darryl Darby...

Rachelle was hopeless in despair. Was there something wrong with the guy? What was

there to watch about fishing?

No, wait...

Had he discovered something? Was he acting like that because he started to suspect

Rachelle's identity?

Then again, if that really was the case, he would have exposed her a long time ago

instead of waiting out for so long.

At the thought, Rachelle smiled helplessly.

"Alright, then. Keep your eyes peeled, sir."

As she spoke, she walked to the side as she broke off a branch, and waded into the water.
