Chapter 5335

'Ha! What an idiot.'

Rachelle, who stood behind Darryl, chuckled coldly upon seeing that scene.

'What a bunch of savages. How dare they behave arrogantly before the head of the Elixir

Sector of the Pure Yang Division? Were they trying to get themselves killed?'

Rachelle knew Darryl's abilities and that he could easily defeat Alfredo and the mountain

bandits if he wanted to. She may have seemed anxious externally, but she felt the

complete opposite.

Phew!

Darryl noticed the changes in Rachelle's expression and chuckled to himself.

'Does that woman think I'm going to attack? I'll do the opposite then.'

Darryl thought to himself and pretended to panic.

"How reasonable of you to attack without any heads up!"

He then turned around and fled the scene.

He grabbed Rachelle's hand and said to her, "Run quickly. They have the upper hand in

numbers, so I may be unable to defeat them."

What?

Rachelle was stunned upon hearing that and uttered, "Didn't you defeat the Quad Ocean

Sect by yourself? Why can't you defeat these mere mountain bandits?"

Darryl was none other than the head of the Elixir Sector of the Pure Yang Division. On top

of that, he escaped from ten different sects that worked together to catch him and even

injured plenty of them in the process.

Adam had also mentioned that Darryl was a mysterious man of unpredicted power, so why

did he panic before those bandits?

Darryl chuckled bitterly upon seeing her confused expression, "I've actually not fully

recovered from my injuries from yesterday, so I won't be able to fight against these

bandits."

Darryl knew Rachelle waited for him to punish those bandits, so he decided to lie.

Darryl had already thought it all out. He knew that the woman would surely expose her

own identity upon facing danger.

Injury from yesterday?

Rachelle was once again stunned. Could it be that Darryl was hurt by her Senior Brother

and the other sects during the siege?

"Running away now, are we?"

Alfredo and the rest of the bandits caught up to them when Rachelle was still deep in her

thoughts. He raised his sword and charged toward Darryl's back.

Darryl was quick. He pushed Rachelle away and dodged the attack.

Darryl then got into a heaty fight with Alfredo.

A few bandits caught up and surrounded Rachelle, tying her up with ropes.

Phew!

Rachelle did not fight back. Instead, she allowed the bandits to tie her up as she watched

Darryl.

Even though Darryl was injured, he could still fight against those bandits. Therefore, she

had no need to expose her identity.

However, her assumptions were wrong.

Bam bam bam...

After exchanging a few strikes with Alfredo, Darryl purposefully missed an attack and

allowed Alfredo to strike him on the chest. Darryl grunted and staggered a few steps back,

pretending to be in pain as he landed on the ground.

"Argh! That hurts!"

Darryl held onto his chest and grunted a few more times before pretending to growl at

Alfredo, ' How dare you bandits try to rob me? Do you know who I am?"

He said as he quietly observed Rachelle.

'Haha! This woman thought I'd take care of these bandits, but I won't. Let's see what

you're going to do next.’

Alfredo cackled and growled, "Hmmph! Who cares?! This is my territory. You have no say

in anything. Tie him up!"

A couple of bandits went ahead and tied Darryl up.

How did that happen?

Rachelle shuddered upon seeing that Darryl had been tied up, and her eyes were filled

with astonishment.

'Darryl is the head of the Elixir Sector of the Pure Yang Division. Why wasn't he able to

defeat these mere bandits? Was he telling the truth about his injury? If that's the case, I

have to strike back before it's too late, but my identity will be exposed if I do. My plan to

approach Darryl will surely fail.'

Rachelle thought to herself and eventually decided to hold herself back.

Hm?

Seeing as Rachelle had no intention to strike, Darryl frowned in frustration.

'What a patient woman. She's still holding herself back at such crucial timing. If that's the

case, I'll continue the act with you.'
