Chapter 5564

At this moment, Darryl had no idea that the Hidden Hero Sect was destroyed.

Several miles away on the north side of the Hidden Hero Sect was an abyss, where Debra

was holding on tightly to Rachelle's hand as they plummeted downward.

The sound of the wind whizzed past their ears, and the speed of their fall increased. The

bottom of the abyss was covered by dense fog, so much so that one could tell how deep it

was. 1

Debra closed her eyes desperately as she imagined how deep the abyss was. Right then,

the sound of their bodies falling onto a tree growing on the cliff appeared. It was a shrub

that was growing in between the cliffs.

By this time, the bottom of the abyss was in their sights. Fortunately, the shrub had

helped break their fall a little, decreasing their velocity.

When they landed at the bottom, they did not suffer as badly as they thought they would.

Even so, Debra staggered back a few steps. Her energy and blood writhed around in her

body, and her face turned pale.

A few seconds later, she took a deep breath and recovered slightly before she hurried over

to check on Rachelle's condition.

With her eyes still shut tight, Rachelle seemed unconscious and weak. Luckily, she was

still breathing.

Once Debra determined that Rachelle was in no danger, she was at ease. She crossed her

legs and sat on the ground to adjust the internal energy in her elixir field. Followingly, she

transferred her internal energy into Rachelle's body.

She knew Rachelle was unconscious because she was exhausted and consumed too much

of her energy. With that, all she needed to do was to wake up Rachelle so she could

transfer some energy into Rachelle's body.

However, Debra did not know she would receive a reversal of power once she placed her

hands on Rachelle's back. She was slow to react and was sent flying several steps back.

'What a strong power!' She balanced her body and looked at Rachelle in surprise. Her

exquisite face looked shocked with disbelief. 'How could she have this strong power in her

body while she's still weak?'

Currently, Debra did not know Rachelle had divine power in her body. The divine power

concentrated and surrounded Rachelle's elixir field, forming a strong protective barrier.

The barrier would instantly negate any foreign energy from entering Rachelle's body.

While Debra was still in shock, Rachelle groaned and gradually woke up.

"You're awake!" Elated, Debra walked over and helped Rachelle to get up.

Rachelle responded lightly and took a look around. Her body trembled."

Where...are we?"

Debra nervously glanced at their surroundings after seeing how Rachelle reacted.

When they first landed, she was worried about Rachelle's condition, so she took no notice

of their surroundings. Rachelle's question brought her back to their current situation, and

she was stunned upon checking her whereabouts.

Down in the abyss was a wide underground river black in color, and no one could tell how

deep it was. Fortunately, Debra and Rachelle landed on the space beside the river bank;

things might have turned out differently if they fell straight into the water.

Beside the river and along the cliff was a huge cave, and the pothole was several meters

high. The river formed a several square feet bay inside the cave and the water was still

black in color.

The cave extended deep inside and there was no telling where it led to. The walls of the

cave were formed by many igneous rocks of dark cyan color glowing with a weak green

light that lit up the entire cave in green.

The sight was so bizarre that it felt like they were in another world.

Moreover, not a sound was heard around them.

Not a single sound was heard or created from the underground river or the humongous

cave. Not even the sound of the water flowing in the river. Nothing at all.

Debra and Rachelle inhaled deeply when they realized how peculiar their surroundings

seemed, and they became nervous by instinct.

Rachelle asked again, "Where.Js this place?”

She was unconscious when they jumped off the cliff. Thus, she did not know what

happened.

Debra exhaled lightly and told Rachelle what happened.

Ultimately, she looked at the humongous cave in front of them. "I was so sure we'd be

dead by now... I never thought we'd be so lucky to be alive now!"
