Chapter 899 Do You Think Something Is Off with Her?
"Jenny?" Janet noticed Jenny was staring at her with a suspicious look in her eyes. She felt
bewildered and anxious.
Had she found out? She couldn't have. It was their first day meeting each other.
Jenny snapped back to reality and shook her head. "Sorry. I drifted off."
"Ah." Janet retracted her gaze, not holding eye contact with Jenny. She felt uncomfortable.
Jenny said nothing else, and the three of them waited for the three men to finish talking.
Fortunately, it was not a long wait as they were soon finished. Zack came out from the
study and went straight towards Janet. It was obvious that he really liked her.
Jenny was happy for him, but at the same time, she worried.
She hoped that Janet was a good person so that they would be able to live happily
together. However, she worried that Janet was just putting on a show. If that was the case,
there was no way it would end well with a man as straightforward as Zack.
She carried that worry in her heart until they departed.
When they left, both Alec and Evan offered to drive her home. In the end, Gilbert was the
one who sent her home.
"No wonder you didn't want me to invite Evan to dinner. He and Alec fight easily.’ Even
Gilbert was annoyed by the way they argued over who got to fetch Jenny home, much less
Jenny herself.
Jenny murmured in response. She obviously wasn't taking it to heart. That was also why
she chose to let Gilbert take her home.
Gilbert glanced at her and asked, "What's wrong? I realized you had something on your
mind."
"How much do you know about Janet, Gilbert?" She looked at him, wanting to talk about it.

only ever heard Zack talk about her over the phone."
"Why hasn't he told me about her?" Jenny was upset. She had no idea that Zack had a
girlfriend.
"He didn't let me tell you about it. He wanted to give you a surprise." Gilbert smiled. He
wasn't keeping her in the dark on purpose.
Jenny was exasperated. She thought it was a surprise before, but now it could be a shock.
"Why? Do you think there's something off with her?" Gilbert was no fool. He could tell that
Jenny wasn't acting normally.

herself out to be."
"What do you mean?" Gilbert asked. This was about Zack, and as his brother, he had to
take this seriously.
Jenny told him everything that she had overheard. After that, Gilbert had the same
thoughts as she did. "I'll investigate it. Don't interfere.’
"Why not?" Jenny was confused.
"I'm the elder brother. Of course, I'll be the one to look into it. Don't you worry so much."
Gilbert was worried that Jenny and Zack would argue if he found anything out.
Jenny thought of that, too. "Zack isn't so unreasonable."
"When men are blinded by love, they neglect all reasoning," Gilbert said. Even Jenny was
like that, much less Zack.
Jenny wanted to say that Zack wasn't the type to be blinded by love, but she swallowed
her words when she thought of how he had fawned over Janet in the villa.
