Chapter 1036: "Hadley!" Eric called out, his expression darkening.
This Jenkins man seemed to appear out of nowhere. Here in Srixby, everyone knew Hadley belonged to him, and nobody would have dared try anything. Even those who'd been clueless before had surely seen the headlines by now.
Still, someone had the audacity to approach her-boldly and publicly. The realization hit him hard. He moved quickly, striding after her.
By the the stepped outside, Hadley was already relaxing with her colleagues, coffee in hand, laughter surrounding her.

She was doing this deliberately. This was her way of retaliating, and she wanted him to see it.
What was his next move to amend this? Meanwhile, at the hospital.
Post-treatment, Linda was transitioned from her bed to a wheelchair, clutching her phone with Hadley's Twitter feed open.
She was fully aware of the day's events.
After moments of contemplation, Linda finally signaled for the nurse.
"Mr. Flynn." "How is she doing?" "She's stable now..." Linda, reclining in her wheelchair, caught the sound of voices and glanced toward the door.
"Linda?" Eric burst through, his face still etched with worry and urgency as he fixed his gaze on her. "You're here," Linda said, a soft smile spreading across her face, warmth blooming in her chest. "Did I scare you?" She maneuvered her wheelchair closer, a touch of embarrassment in her expression.
"I'm sorry. I wasn't feeling well earlier, and the nurses must've overreacted by calling you... I'm doing much better now." Eric studied her for a moment, noting her improved color, and let out a relieved nod.
"Good to know you're alright." He stepped aside, crossed to the sofa, and sank into it.
As he tugged at his tie, a faint air of frustration clung to him.
"What's wrong?" Linda arched a brow. "You seem upset... Is it because of me?" "No, it's not that," Eric replied, shaking his head quickly.
"Don't deny it," she teased gently, her smile warm. "After all our years as friends, I'd be a pobrone if I couldn't N spot when something's bothering you." Eric went quiet, his lips pressing together.
"What's going on?" Linda's tone softened, her teasing replaced by teasing re е concern. "Can't you share it with me?" Her gaze dropped briefly, and she let out a small sigh.
"Actually, I think I already know. It's about Hadley, isn't it?" The content is of novelenglish.net! Eric flinched slightly, ready to protest, but she cut in.
