Chapter 1267:
“Hello, Joy.” Eric glanced at the flashcards spread out in front of her and smiled. “You're amazing. Those are
stricky words.”
“Mommy taught me! It’s all because of her.”
Eric shifted his gaze to Hadley, who gave him a faint smile with a simple “Hello.”
Her tone was calm as if nothing had happened. No tension, no conflict. Just steady and composed for Joy's sake.
“Hello.” Eric nodded. He hadn't cjust to visit. This was also about Joy. He picked up the file folder he had
brought and handed it to Hadley.
“What's this?” Hadley asked, brows slightly furrowed.
“It’s school information,” Eric explained.
Joy's health had been steadily improving. According to Josue, if there were no signs of rejection within two years,
she could be considered fully cured. And if everything remained stable for the next six months, she could start
school like any other child.
“These are profiles from several private schools in Srixby,” Eric added. The schools varied in terms of their
founding dates, but all offered complete education from kindergarten through high school.
“Joy should start in the preschool class for four- to five-year-olds.”
Hadley looked surprised. “Won't she fall behind the others in class?” Even though private schools didn’t focus
heavily on entrance exams, the students all cfrom wealthy families. Most had access to early education,

“She won't,” Eric answered while shaking his head. “Kids don’t learn much in preschool anyway, and it won't
matter if she falls a little behind. If Joy wants to catch up, we can get her a tutor. If not, she can go at her own
pace.”
“That works too,” said Hadley with a nod.
They had reached an agreement regarding Joy's education.
“These schools are all good. Take a look and choose the one you like best,” Eric advised.

“I will.” Hadley paused as if remembering something. “By the way, which school does Locke go to?”
“This one.” Eric pointed to one of the profiles with a smile. “It'd be nice if Joy and Locke were together. He's older
and can look out for his cousin.”
Just then, Melba stepped in. “Dinner’s ready.”
“Alright.” Eric scooped Joy up into his arms. “Let's go. Tto eat!” As he held his daughter, he noticed that she
felt heavier. He beamed and remarked, “Joy, you're getting bigger.”
“| eat all my meals. That's why I'm growing!” Joy declared proudly.
“Good girl!” Eric laughed, clearly pleased.
After dinner, Melba took Joy to the bathroom for her bath.
Hadley glanced at Eric and said calmly, “Let's talk downstairs.”

Understanding what she meant, Eric nodded. “Alright.” With that, they went downstairs together.
“Go on,” Hadley said, arms crossed, her expression calm and unreadable.
