“What?” | echoed after blinking once, then my eyes darted towards a horrified looking Addison, to a smug

looking Marco.

“Oh, you weren't aware? | wasn’t supposed to tell you anyway, but | was just unable to help myself...,” he was

still speaking when Addison gasped in outrage as she cut him off.

“What the fuck, Marco? You were the one who kissed me!” She cried out, a completely shocked expression

across her face.

Right now, my mind reeled right now from an immense amount of shock. Last night after she returned to the

room, | had known that she had been hiding something, but | never expected it to be something like this.

After last night, | had believed that she had gotten more over than him, but it seemed like | had been wrong.

Despite all my effort, it’s starting to seem like her feelings for him are still unshakable, and | felt a low feeling of

disappointment coveras | remained smirky, watching a smug grin spread across Marco's face as he

stepped closer to me.

“I mean, you shouldn't be so shocked, dearest brother.” He drawled and as | stated at him right now, the urged

to punch him in the face right now completely consumed him.

“Stop it, Marco. Just stop. What's the point of lying?” Addison demanded, sounding annoyed, confused and lost

at the stime. Marco turned to face her and he sighed.

“Should we go somewhere private, Addi? Remember what | said u wanna reveal to you, I'd explain everything to

you there.” He said to her and as | watched Addison try to cto a decision, | wondered why | was feeling this

annoyed right now.

| wouldn't even say that | was furious. No, | wasn’t, cause after all | was aware she was love sick from the onset. |

guess | was just very disappointed that they shared a kiss last night. For them to have done that means | was

more or less back to square 1 again, so | was beyond disappointed right now.

However, | was taken aback with surprise by Addison's response.

“I'd rather not, Marco.”

Marco's eyes widened in utter shock as he regarded Addison.

“Wh-" he was still speaking when she cut him off.

“Just stop, Marco. Stop it. Despite apologizing for something, you always go ahead and do it again and it's so

draining. You apologize after kissinglast night but now you're saying something else this morning, so no, |

don’t wanna go somewhere with you.” She tell him in a firm voice, shockingto the very core.

“But...” Marco was still speaking when | let out a sigh and waved him off this time.

“I think that’s enough, Marco” | finally breathed out in a sharp voice, and then | marched off with Addison in tow

before he could respond.

Once Addison and | were alone, | abruptly let go off her and she instantly resumed pacing, her hands pulling on

her hair as she groaned, clearly conflicted and torn apart tight now.

“Is it true? You really shared a kiss with him last night?” | asked, breaking the silence and Addison instantly

whirled around as she shook her head.

“What? No! I- | didn’t. He kissed me, and | did end up pushing him away. I- | didn’t tell you about it because it

was very embarrassing, especially after all of that, he still never gave any indication of wanting to be withor

anything.” She mumbled quietly, refusing to meet my eyes and I sighed, feeling that disappointed feeling

deepen within me.

“And | insisted to him last night that | loved you,” she added after a few seconds but | snorted, because to me,

that made no difference. For them to have kissed, no matter how short it was, it meant she must have given him

an opening to make him believe he could get away with it, even if she doesn’t realize that yet.

As | watched her right now, | wondered if this whole plan has been completely ruined now. For Marco to have

revealed that he kissed Carla, was clearly because he thought that would getmad enough to ‘dump’

Addison. Which means he’s still trying to separate the two of us.

So, perhaps all hope still wasn’t completely lost yet...

Perhaps after he sees that the supposed kiss which was supposed to angerstill didn’t sendrunning, he

might still have to fully confess to Addison and cancel the wedding as well.

We have just today and tomorrow left before the wedding. Two more days left for him to call off this damned

wedding, then my quest would automatically be successful.

Why is that so hard for him to do?

| guess we’d have to still keep this pretext up till he decides to call off his damn wedding. However, now, | was

hoping that | wouldn't end up completely wasting my time.

Logically, after discovering they kissed last night, | should put an end to this right now and move to plan B, which

is getting Aisha to helpsteal Marco's phone. But surprisingly, | was enjoying this whole pretend relationship,

and | wasn’t sure | wanted it to end just yet.

Addison was pretty, adorable, snarky and grouchy as well. But she felt like a fresh breath of air

around me.

So | guess keeping the pretext up it is.

This time, she stepped closer toand spoke quietly, cyingskeptically. “So... Is our pretend

I let my eyes take in the adorable, large eyes of hers, and | rolled my eyes as | reached up to cup her face. |

didn’t miss the way she shivered when | stepped closer, and at once, last night Fischer crossed my mind when |

fingered her hard in public.

She wantedthen. She wantsnow. She might still be in love with Marco, but her body? It craves my touch,

and | wouldn't like getting another taste of her before we end this fake relationship at least.
