Chapter 582

She had been too busy to notice anything amiss with Sharon, let alone worry about her secret plan.

At around 8:00 p.m., Molly was still in the research laboratory, discussing her research with other researchers, who

were not the kind of people who would think of slacking off and clocking out as soon as the clock hit the off-working

hour. Especially when they saw Molly as the director working so hard, they felt motivated and more energetic than

ever.

Molly was listening to a researcher analyzing the drug when she suddenly felt her cell phone vibrating in her pocket,

she fished it out and glanced at it. 'Why is he calling?'

"Excuse me. You go on. I have got to answer a call." Molly took the phone and walked out to answer the call.

"What's wrong?" She asked.

Brycen saw that she finally picked up and immediately said, " Claudia looks like she has a fever. Hurry back." He

glanced at Claudia, who was being held in Sawyer’s arms. Her face looked as though she lacked her usual energy

and vitality, looking haggard. Her cheeks flushed unnaturally, her eyes were in a daze, and her mouth kept

murmuring her mother's name. It broke Brycen's heart to see this.

"How did she get a fever all of a sudden?" Molly's usual calm tone suddenly tensed up.

The weather had been a bit cold lately, and it was the height of the flu season, "when you weren’t home during the

day, we took the three children out to play," Brycen told her honestly.

He was not afraid that his sister would blame them for not taking good care of the children. The main thing now

was to let Claudia get better quickly. He was aware of the recent flu season and was worried that Claudia's body

could not cope with the illness for too long.

Molly heard what he said and replied, "I will be back right away."

With that, she hung up and explained the situation to the researcher team members, then rushed home as fast as

she could. She hurried upstairs when she arrived home.

Claudia was lying in bed, surrounded by a group of people. She was supposed to be lying there with squinted eyes

and a lifeless look, but as soon as she spotted her mother in the doorway, she immediately opened her eyes with

difficulty and called out to Molly. "Mommy, hug." Her voice was all soft and unenergetic.

It hurt Molly to see her daughter like that, and she hurried over to take Claudia in her arms. "Mommy's here."

Molly knew Claudia would try to get her attention and cling to her when she was sick. But this time, she did not want

to let go of her hand, so she kept holding Claudia. After coaxing her for a while, Molly turned to look at her

grandfather, "when did Claudia get a fever? Has she taken any medication? Has her temperature been taken, and

how many degrees is it now?"

She finished those questions in one go as she looked at them. Not that she was blaming them, but Claudia had been

physically weak since the very beginning. So, no matter how protective she was of Claudia, she was reasonable.

Besides, Molly also knew very well that they were all family, so there was no way they had deliberately made

Claudia fall sick.

Brycen was sitting next to his grandfather, and before he had a chance to speak, two kiddish voices sounded in

tandem.

"Mommy, we were on the way back when I noticed that Claudia's face didn't look right. So, we took her

temperature immediately when we got home and found that she had a fever," Ben said.

Alex then said, "I gave Claudia a fever reducer. It's 37.5 degrees."

They stepped forward and looked at Molly with serious faces, answering her questions one by one as if they had

great experiences. They were so intelligent and thoughtful that they almost did not look like children.

Molly felt relieved to hear this and complimented them. "You guys did a great job."
