Emma was holding Liliana's hand, treating her like family, and Liliana's genuine, warm smile showed they were
having a great tchatting.
"Finn, you're here!" Emma exclaimed.
Most of the time, Emma was quite fond of her son, and seeing him approach, she stood up to greet him warmly.
"Cover here. | cto check on Liliana and brought her ssupplements."
"You really should have toldsooner that Liliana was expecting. | would've flown back from abroad to take
care of her." Emma continued.
"Oh, Mrs. Everly, there's no need to fuss over me. The baby is still small, and I'm young and capable of looking
after myself," Liliana quickly replied.
Emma waved her hand dismissively. "It's precisely because you're young that you might not know everything.
That's why I'm here to help. The baby is, what, two months along now?"
Liliana nodded, and Emma said, "Perfect, while the baby is still small, let's get the wedding organized. If we wait
until your belly's bigger, it won't look as nice in the wedding dress. Plus, it wouldn't reflect well on the Everly
family to have a big belly at the wedding."
Liliana smiled, not showing any of the typical shyness of a bride-to-be. She spoke with grace, "Mrs. Everly, | know
you mean well. I'm easygoing about these things, really. Whatever Finn thinks is fine."

much."
Liliana smiled again, but Finnian stood there, his expression cold and silent.
Seeing her son not saying a word, Emma nudged his arm playfully and chided, "Aren't you going to say
anything? This is your business, you know. Pay attention."
Finnian's lips parted slightly, his voice icy, "When did | ever say | was going to marry her?"
His cold words drained the color from Liliana's face.
Emma was momentarily stunned, frowning, "Finn, what do you mean by that? You have a child together, and you
don't plan to marry Liliana? How can you be so irresponsible?"
Finnian ignored her, turning to Liliana, "What did you tell my mom?"
Liliana's heart raced as she quickly tried to think. She knew Finnian despised troublemakers, so she hurried to his
side and whispered, "Mrs. Emma Everly cto seetoday, and before you arrived, she hadn't mentioned
anything about marriage. Otherwise, | would have declined." s
Finnian nodded slightly and said to Emma, "Coutside with me."
Without waiting for a response, he turned and walked out.
Emma was a bit upset that her son didn't show her any respect in front of her future daughter-in-law. But she
couldn't let it show, so she forced a smile at Lilland and swiftly followed him out.
