Chapter 224 Unease and Good Intentions

Aylin has the ability to recognize talent.

Moreover, children are the least likely to hide their thoughts. The expression on Abby’s face was not

shyness, but genuine fear.

Upon realizing that it was Sariah who went to pick up the person, Aylin immediately understood.

Sariah probably said quite a few bad things about her behind her back.

In front of the child, Aylin didn’t lose her temper. She pointed to the couch, gesturing for Abby to sit, but

Abby still didn’t move.

Aylin wasn’t in a hurry either, and she asked with a gentle smile, “Abby, are you hungry after sitting on

the plane for so long? I have lots of delicious food here. What’s your favorite?”

Aylin skillfully persuaded with a gentle tone and a mild demeanor. After all, Abby was just a child, and

her heart was instantly moved.

She pursed her lips in thought, then spoke softly, “I… want to eat cake.”

“No problem.”

Aylin immediately asked someone to fetch a fresh mango crepe cake and a slice of strawberry cake

from the refrigerator. Each one was delicate and adorable, exuding a sweet yet not greasy aroma,

quickly winning Abby’s affection.

Even though she still remembered that Aylin was a villain, she couldn’t help but exclaim, “Wow!

Are all these mine?”

Unknowingly, she took a few steps and reached Aylin’s side, carefully glanced at the cake and then

looked at Aylin.

Aylin looked at the child’s innocent expression and smiled, “Of course, this whole cake is all yours.”

“Wow!”

Abby excitedly picked up a small piece of cream and mumbled, “Thank you, Aylin.”

Aylin patiently waited for her to eat, and when the little girl had finished half of her meal, she asked

again, “Abby, what kind of toys do you usually like to play with?”

Abby felt that since she had already eaten the cake Aylin gave her, it would be impolite not to respond.

So, she said crisply, “I like LinaBell.”

“Oh, what a coincidence.”

Aylin laughed and called for a female housekeeper, “Kate, please go and fetch the red box from.

under the cabinet in my room.”

The female housekeeper promptly brought over a small red box. Upon opening it, Abby saw many

LinaBells she had never seen before, all of various sizes and incredibly exquisite!

Not to mention Abby, even Sariah has never seen so many LinaBells!

Both of them widened their eyes.

“This…”

Sariah could tell at a glance that these were all limited edition collaborations with major luxury brands,

perhaps to be sent to high–end VIP customers during Children’s Day. Even with money, ordinary

people wouldn’t be able to buy them.

Others would be happy with just one, but Aylin actually has a whole box!

Sariah’s teeth were almost crushed!

Aylin took the opportunity to gently touch the little girl’s head, the soft strands of hair making her eyes

squint with delight. “I happen to have quite a few LinaBells here. Which one do you like? Pick one to

take with you, and consider it my first gift to you.”

The temptation was huge for a little girl. Abby’s eyes widened, “Wow… really?”

She couldn’t help but forget Sariah’s warning. Aylin treated her with delicious food and fun activities;

where was there even a hint of a fierce and evil appearance?

In the end, she’s just a child. Whoever treats her well, she instinctively wants to get close to them.

Although Abby liked every LinaBell in the box, she was sensible and only chose one of medium size.

Even so, LinaBell was dressed in Louis Vuitton’s latest spring and summer collection, wearing a

miniaturized version of a one–to–one dress, worth thousands of dollars.

“Thank you, Aylin!”

Abby laughed genuinely, sweetly saying “Thank you, Aylin” one after another, clearly showing that she

had completely let her guard down around Aylin.

Sariah was left in awe on the side!

Damn it, that girl just completely ignored what was said!

How could this be possible!

Woulds

Sariah was growing increasingly anxious. If things continued like this, Abby would soon be won over by

Aylin!

“Alright, alright!”

She quickly stepped forward and grabbed Abby’s wrist, pretending to laugh cheerfully, “Abby, we’ve

said our hellos, and Aylin just got back from work and needs some rest. We shouldn’t bother her too

much.

Abby, let’s go home.”

After finishing speaking, she hurriedly pulled Abby along as they walked outside.

Abby reluctantly turned around and waved to Aylin. “Goodbye, Aylin…”

No sooner had the two stepped out the front door than John walked over. Having seen everything, he

expressed his concerns about Sariah’s sudden visit.

“Ms. Koch, should we have someone follow her? I just can’t trust that woman’s intentions…” He didn’t

have faith in Sariah’s character.

Aylin appeared calm and composed, gazing at the slowly closing door with a leisurely expression.

“No need.”

John frowned anxiously, “But she clearly doesn’t have good intentions…”

Before the words had even faded, Aylin’s slender, pale fingers tapped open a small app on her phone.

The content displayed on the screen instantly made John’s eyes widen in surprise! phone. The content

as she closed the door, she squatted down, pressing the little girl’s shoulders with a gloomy expression

on her face.

“Did you forget everything I told you? I warned you that Aylin is not a good person, a and you should be

cautious around her. How could you forget my words just because you received something from her?”

Abby shuddered with fright.

She hesitated and said, “But… but Aylin has been really good to me=”

“That’s all fake!”

Sariah suddenly interrupted loudly, but seeing the frightened look in the little girl’s eyes, she quickly

lowered her voice, “Abby, you’re too young to understand. She loves tormenting children the most, just

like today. She lures you in with delicious food, and then she’ll throw you into a basement full of rats

and beat you.

When the time comes, mice will bite you, and cockroaches will crawl all over your body. You won’t have

enough to eat every day, and no one will be able to save you!”

Abby was terrified by the horrifying scene she described.

Children are naturally afraid of pests like mice and cockroaches. The thought of these creatures

crawling on them sends a shiver down their spines, and in an instant, they seek refuge in Abby’s

embrace.

“So scary! I don’t want this!”

Sariah gently pulled Abby into her embrace, patiently soothing her in a soft voice, “Don’t be afraid, it’s

okay as long as you know you were wrong. Sariah will protect you, just listen to what Sariali says.”

Abby’s simple little mind couldn’t hold too much information.

Aylin is clearly a beautiful and approachable person, and she even provides delicious food and fun

activities. Why would she treat her like this?

“Why is she so mean? I’m well–behaved and won’t make her angry…” Abby whispered, puzzled.

Still just a child after all.

Sariah sneered, “It’s because Aylin has been spoiled by your Uncle Timothy and Aunt Nina since she

was little. She doesn’t feel comfortable if she doesn’t scold someone every day. In her mind, everyone

should be trampled under her feet, even her cousins can’t have a better life than her!”

Abby’s face crumpled in fear, “But… what if we run into her again since we live so close? I’m scared-”

“Don’t worry, as long as you listen to me, I can protect you. However, we must unite to defeat her.”

Sariah caught a glimpse of the doll worth thousands of dollars in Abby’s hand, and couldn’t help but

feel even more resentful. The words she spoke became even more venomous.

Abby’s eyes widened in surprise, “How can I knock her down? I can’t even reach her!”
