Phoebe’s voice sounded sad, and she continued to express concern, “How’s everything on
your end? I’m outside the lab now, but the security won’t let me in.”
“I’ll come out to pick you up.”
Howard walked quickly and spotted Phoebe at the entrance. She was dressed in an
evening gown for the photoshoot later, with a white fur stole wrapped around her arms.
The contrast between her innocent and adorable face and the elegant dress created a
unique charm, distinct from Sheena’s alluring, domineering, and arrogant style.
“It’s winter! Why aren’t you dressed more warmly?”
Howard immediately removed his coat, wrapped it around her shoulders, and rubbed her
hands to warm them.
Phoebe was touched. “Don’t worry, I’m not cold. How’s Mr. Jenkins doing? Has Sheena
mentioned when she’ll be back?”
“He’s like an irritating mad dog, but I’ve managed to find a way to handle him. I can’t
