Chapter 311 Are You Sure?
“Honey, what would you like to do to the woman who tried to seduce your husband?” Cedric smiled and asked in a gentle tone.
Maia was taken aback at his question and that he had called her ‘honey‘ again.
Baz and Hope, who were standing next to them, glanced at each other awkwardly. At first, Hope was curious at how Cedric
would act in front of her sister.
Now that she had seen it, Hope could not believe that Cedric was capable of being this gentle. Hope felt like he would even give
Maia the world if she had asked for it. This made Hope
– slightly envious of Maia, but she was also excited to see how Maia would react to him.

“She drugged you, so you should decide what to do. Why would HL’s CEO and the don of the business world ask me for my
opinion?”
“Because as powerful as I am, I’m still a henpecked husband!” Cedric teased.
Others would try to hide the fact that they were a henpecked husband, yet Cedric was proud of it. Maia was surprised by his
statement. When had she even tried to control him?
All of a sudden, something on the bar counter caught her eyes.
Maia was quite shocked to see some hot peppers there. Even if they had wanted something spicy, they should have been in the
kitchen instead. Maia could only think of one explanation.
“Baz.”
“Yes, Ms. Maia?” Baz lowered his head, trying not to make eye contact with her..

“Why are you so nervous? I only wanted to ask, why are these hot peppers here?”

“Mr. Cedric asked me to get them,” Baz replied.
Cedric glared at Baz as he heard Baz’s answer. Baz gasped in fear, he was only speaking the
truth!
Maia nodded and walked toward the bar counter. She rested her arms on the counter and
smiled at him. “So, which of these peppers would you like to try first?”
To Cedric, Maia looked too seductive. He smiled back at her and pinched her chin lightly between his fingers. “Which would you
like me to try?”
His gaze was penetrating. Maia could feel that the tone he had used to talk to her was different. She turned away from him and
pointed at a jalapeno. “How about this?”
“Are you sure? Looks like my efforts last night weren’t good enough,” he whispered into her
ear.

Main’s face could not help but turned bright red as she recalled what had happened last night. “ 1–I’m hungry. I want some
breakfast now. You should take care of your problem!” After she finished, she immediately turned around, grabbed Hope and left.
“Maia, you and Mr. Cedric-“Hope was surprised by Maia’s gesture as she had not even figured out how to address Cedric

Mala ignored Hope’s protest and dragged her out of the presidential suit. When she closed the door behind them, Cedric
laughed. Baz could finally sigh in relief as he noticed his boss was in a good mood.
Seconds later, Baz’s expression changed as he asked Cedric what to do with Fiona.
“Don’t worry about her yet.” Cedric did not want Fiona to get away that easily. Making her wait would increase her fear. He
wanted her to suffer before handing Fiona her final sentence.
Baz nodded
“What about the thing I instructed you to do?” Cedric questioned.

When I got back to Prismara, I immediately instructed our men to help with Starlight Entertainment’s effort of purchasing
Mykonos Studios. I’ve also went to see Ms. Maia’s personal assistant, Buck
“He was quite professional and diligent with his work. Even though he did not share much of the details, he told me that the
process went smoothly. From the way he was talking to me, I’m quite certain that Ms. Maia would be able to purchase Mykonos
Studios without much
trouble.
“After that, I went to the orphanage that took in Ms. Zera. The person–in–charge said that she was abandoned at their doorstep,
wrapped in a blanket. The blanket was made from materials only produced on Maya Cove.
“Maya Cove wasn’t even developed 20 years ago, so this could only be from the locals who had used it to weave their own
clothing.”

Baz took out an old photograph. “This was given to me by the orphanage. It was a photo that they took to make sure that if Ms.
Zera’s birth parents were to come back for her, they would
be able to identify her.
This is proof that Ms. Zera was born on this island. Her birth date coincides with the period when Ms. Rita came here for a trip.
Ms. Rita left the island a few days later.”
Cedric’s facial expression changed when he heard Baz’s report. “Looks like Tess was telling
the truth.”
Zera was really Rita’s daughter, with an unknown father! Still, this meant that Cedric and Zera were step–siblings. Why had Rita
been so determined to make Zera marry him? Did

story.
Moments later, Cedric stood up and walk toward the door. Baz followed him and asked, “Mr. Cedric, where are you going?”
“To have breakfast.”
On the way to the restaurant, Hope looked at Maia’s blushing face and laughed, “Maia, why is your face still so red?”
“Do you still want to do that photoshoot?”
“Of course. You’re the best! I can tell just from the way Mr. Cedric looks at you!” Hope hugged her sister’s arm affectionately.
Instead of replying to Hope’s statement, Maia decided to change the subject, “Did you Vicky that we’re here?”
