Pearl and Richard felt a storm of emotions. They were extremely angry but didn't know what to do next.
"I ruined your family." Jasmine closed her eyes, despair in her voice.

Finally, Jasmine looked at Pearl. "What are you going to do to me?" She knew Pearl had the power to make her and Chet disappear. Thinking of Chester made Jasmine's heart ache. She hoped Pearl wouldn't be harsh enough to hurt her son.
